In From Paris with Love, Jonathan Rhys Meyers is James Reece, a personal aide to U.S. Ambassador in France who has a great life in Paris. James has a great job and an equally beautiful French girlfriend. However, what James really wants to do is concentrate on his undercover job as a low-level operative for the CIA.
He desperately wants to get ahead on his CIA career and become a bona fide agent. The guy is starved for some real action. When he’s offered his first senior-level assignment, Jamesis naturally thrilled. He’s finally been given the chance to prove himself and wow his superiors. His short stint of happiness is interrupted when he meets his CIA partner, Charlie Wax, (John Travolta).
Charlie Wax is an unforgettable character- trigger-happy, loud and loose, not like what a CIA agent should be at all. In fact, James doesn’t quite understand how he got stuck with a man like him. Charlie’sbeen sent to Paris to partner with James as well as to stop a terrorist attack. Together, the 2 men go on an all-out crazy shooting spree all throughout the Parisian underworld that makes James wish he were back in his old, safe desk job.
Their shooting and adventures lead them to make a shocking discovery. All along, Jameshas actually been the target of the same crime ring the 2 have been trying to bust. There’s no going back fr James. He needs to get to the bottom of this. It is only withCharlie Wax’s assistance that James has a chance of making it out of the next 48 hours alive!
