Not a Romantic Movie!
Watch out, you might fall for this film’s seemingly mushy title. However, viewers should realize that From Paris with love is not a romantic movie at all. Girls, it’s best to just walk away, unless you love action f course. This movie is one the boys will enjoy as it comes with lots of shooting, running and explosions. From Paris With Love is much like any CIA-themed movie, with the central characters being an agent and his partner, not a romantic couple!
Jonathan Rhys Meyers stars as James Reece. He seems to have a great life in Paris from an outsider’s point of view. He works as a personal aide to U.S. Ambassador in France and has a beautiful French girlfriend to boot. However, but what really makes James fulfilled is his undercover job as a low-level operative for the CIA. He’s willing to do anything to get ahead in his CIA career and become a bona fide agent and see some real action. When he’s offered his first senior-level assignment, James can’t help but get really excited. He thinks this is his chance to show what he’s made of. That is until he meets his new partner, special agent Charlie Wax (John Travolta).
Charlie Wax is quite the character. He’s something else. He seems too trigger-happy, loud and loose, not like what a CIA agent should be at all. He’s been sent to the city to stop a terrorist attack. Partnered with James Reece, they embark on a crazy shooting spree all throughout the Parisian underworld that makes James wish for his normal job back. Anything is better compared to this! However, they encounter a twist. James is actually the target of the same crime ring the 2 have been trying to bust. Left with no choice, James realizes there’s no turning back now. It is only with the help of Charlie Wax that he has a chance of surviving the next forty-eight hours!
From Paris with Love is an encounter of 2 very different men who are forced to work together to stay alive or to keep one another alive. With John Travolta and Jonathan Rhys Meyers playing James and Charlie, this CIA-themed action movie is just the right combo of good looks, action, and some sarcastic humor, with just enough thrilling scenes to keep things exciting.
